Bucky Hall Just Lost My Vote!

Remember that ol’ “Republicans for Trauner” clan that was based out of Cody, WY and headed up by a now famous lawyer? I was glad when the whole R4T thing was non-existant this year. I felt like we, ahem, THEY had moved on and got over their issues. Apparently, I was wrong. Billings Gazette, AP Report, the morning of Election Day. Dateline: Cody, WY
In a conservative town in one of the country’s most conservative states, the Democrat running for Vice President Dick Cheney’s old House seat isn’t having a hard time finding supporters. […]
But another Cody Republican is switching sides to vote for Trauner.
“I’ve met Cynthia Lummis before and I think she would also do a good job,” said Bucky Hall, a Republican Park County commissioner. “I’m willing to give Gary a shot just for the change.”
I’m sorry, I thought Bucky Hall was a REPUBLICAN that at least held to REPUBLICAN ideals. Once again, the U.s. House Race stands to be close (though I certainly hope not) and on Election Day, incumbent “REPUBLICAN” Park County Commissioner Bucky Hall is rattling off about how he’s going to go for Trauner “just for the change.”
I liked Bucky Hall. I had some uncertainty about him when I saw that he was pressing for the proposed cap tax for the proposed event center. However, I voted for him in August, and encouraged others to do so. I have encouraged people to vote for Bucky Hall on their absentee ballots that will be counted tonight, and now I feel sick. The County Commission race is uncontested as it were, this year. Two registered Republicans are seeking two seats. I have an issue about one of the candidates being married to the County Treasurer, so I’m already writing in one of my preferred candidates that didn’t win on August 19.
Now, in the 11th hour, I’m writing in TWO names, and if you’re in Park County, I’d encourage you to do likewise.
