Just When The Race Narrows Down

I was excited that Rep. Dan Zwonitzer had dropped out of the U.S. House race. He has little recognition across the state and he wouldn’t have fared very well come August 19. A decent man, but not quite ready for a race of this magnitude. So, you’ll understand the shock I felt when I saw this headline this morning. Continue Reading »

Potential Legislative Battle for Gov in 2010?

Last September, Sen. Hank Coe announced that he was giving serious thought to running for Governor in 2010. Given that the seat will be open (provided there is no successful legal challenge to the term limits law), it’s only natural for Republicans to start piling on. Another speculator has announced the possibility…

Enzi: “We’ve been proud to serve you.”

In case you haven’t heard or seen the news, Sen. Enzi made his decision public yesterday. For the past several months, Republican officials have been pondering what Wyoming’ senior senator was going to do this year. The media has been prying to end to get some kind of idea what to write about. Granted, Sen. Enzi is pretty popular, so a re-election could be fairly easy, but everyone wants to know if they should be watching for a new Republican face to come along. Continue Reading »

I Support the NCGOP

I would like to endorse North Carolina GOP Chairman Linda Daves for the Republican Nomination for President.

That’s right. If you’re one of those out there thinking “Oh, come on. Not another anti-McCain post” you’re not going to want to read this. It’s bad news about the presumptive nominee. Continue Reading »

What Will Sen. Enzi Do?

Inquiring minds want to know, especially inquiring Republican minds! Reporters have been camping outside of Sen. Enzi’s D.C. office trying to get some inkling of information about his electoral intentions, but so far he has given them no clues, other than he will announce his decision (whatever it is) in Wyoming. A GOP Organization Endorsing in the Primary?

You’ve got to be kidding. The Republican Leadership Council is endorsing Mark Gordon in the WYGOP Congressional Primary??? I thought most Republican organizations didn’t do that in the primary…

That’s OK though. I’ve heard speculation that Gary Trauner–yes, the Democrat–is planning to endorse Mark Gordon some time soon…

Wyoming Blog Roundup

I’m starting a new feature here on WVT. At this point, I’m going to call it “Wyoming Blog Roundup,” but, as moderate as it sounds, I am open to suggestions.

The basic idea behind the Wyoming Blog Roundup is to point out interesting blog posts by Wyoming bloggers (even if they’re displaced Wyoming bloggers). Hopefully, this will be a weekly series that perhaps gains as much popularity as Monday Night Football, but if not, I’ll take what I can get. Sometimes, the posts will be centered on one topic, other times the posts will be on an assortment of topics.

Now that you know some of what to expect, without further adieu, here’s the first edition of the Wyoming Blog Roundup: Continue Reading »

I Couldn't Agree MoreFolks, I gotta tell you, I feel like Rush Limbaugh today!!! No, I did not get hired at the local radio station for my own three hour talk show (though if they want me, I’ll sure be willing to talk). Continue Reading »
