Barrasso Campaign to Become Official

Our New SenatorIt’s amazing what a little campaign announcement news can do for one’s Republican blood-flow.

If you haven’t met Sen. Barrasso yet, or even if you have, make plans to attend one of of his three campaign kick-off ceremonies.

No, he’s not running three campaigns, he’s kicking off his campaign in three locations across the state! One of them happens to be right here in the Big Horn Basin! Continue Reading »

Just When The Race Narrows Down

I was excited that Rep. Dan Zwonitzer had dropped out of the U.S. House race. He has little recognition across the state and he wouldn’t have fared very well come August 19. A decent man, but not quite ready for a race of this magnitude. So, you’ll understand the shock I felt when I saw this headline this morning. Continue Reading »

Enzi: “We’ve been proud to serve you.”

In case you haven’t heard or seen the news, Sen. Enzi made his decision public yesterday. For the past several months, Republican officials have been pondering what Wyoming’ senior senator was going to do this year. The media has been prying to end to get some kind of idea what to write about. Granted, Sen. Enzi is pretty popular, so a re-election could be fairly easy, but everyone wants to know if they should be watching for a new Republican face to come along. Continue Reading »

What Will Sen. Enzi Do?

Inquiring minds want to know, especially inquiring Republican minds! Reporters have been camping outside of Sen. Enzi’s D.C. office trying to get some inkling of information about his electoral intentions, but so far he has given them no clues, other than he will announce his decision (whatever it is) in Wyoming. Another Democrat Announces Based on Friendship

So, the other day I was getting on Al Hamburg, Wyoming’s Mr. Chaos, for not figuring out which race to run in. I also got on Nick Carter for not (potentially) running against Sen. Enzi because of the family friendship. Apparently, Nick Carter isn’t the only one, as is revealed in a recent report from a Torrington newspaper (guess who this one’s about…): Continue Reading »

Cynthia Lummis Officially In

I know, a lot of you are saying, “Scott! Where’s the big formal announcement?!?!?! She’s your candidate; why haven’t you posted the announcement????

I’m here to tell you, it’s OK; calm down; we’re gonna be alright.

I had a phone call from Annaliese today. She tried to send me some stuff and my e-mail account, for whatever crazy reason, decided to bounce it. I have since reprimanded my e-mail account (all known and possible lummis2008.com addresses are now “safe”). In the mean time, while waiting for the full official text, I figured I’d share some quotes from Tuesday that I do have. Continue Reading »

Sen. Enzi Offers Ideas on Healthcare

Once again it’s an election year, so it must be time to talk about healthcare! I have to admit that I’m a little sick by the continued rhetoric from the Democrat side of the aisle about healthcare (translated: insurance) for everyone. Continue Reading »
